The Great Western Gun Show

was held at the Fairplex in Pomona, CA. on July 9-11 and the NRA Members' Councils were there - recruiting NRA members and distributing legislative alerts. Even at this small summer show, NRA membership grew by nearly 200, thanks to the dedication of the NRA Members' Council Volunteers.

This is the booth about two hours before the show's opening on Friday morning. A few of the volunteers are making the finishing touches and waiting for the crowd to arrive.

The early arrivals begin to gather near our booth, which is located in front of the entrance to the show.

Notice that our booth is considerably smaller than usual, due to the fact that this show is only using one of the fairground's many buildings.

Gun owners have come to expect a regular NRA presence at shows throughout the state. This is the site for the biggest gun show in America (twice yearly) and we see many of the same members renewing their memberships show after show.

Here, volunteers are working the very small crowd while enduring 100+ degree temperatures. Recruiting members and distributing legislative information is what we specialize in and perform at every opportunity.

This says it all.
