"...You work at my pleasure..."

                - Congressman Tim Mahoney (D-FL), in a

                  taped telephone conversation to former

                  mistress Patricia Allen, just before

he fired her from his campaign staff and

                  as quoted by ABC News.

To All,

Okay Floridians, Git-R-Done. It must be true, because ABC News says it's so (yeah, right), but then some $ 2.5 million clams of Soros money may have just got flushed down the old Porta Pottie.

    In other news...

Divining The Chicken Entrails Update:

Once again the electorate is being pounded by a number of "Drive By" Media polls in the key push weeks of a Presidential Campaign.

And, once more, Liberals of the Gun Grabbing Variety are posturing and proclaiming that the race is over before the Weight Challenged Professional Singer has done her schtick.

But a funny thing is happening over at Chicken Entrail Central, if one continues to follow the Gallup "Election Trends by Group- Preference for the General Election, by Political Party ID and Ideology".

For the week of September 29 to October 5, 2008, Gallup shoes the following-

                                                    Obama                        McCain

    Liberal Dems                         96%                             2%

    Moderate Dems                    86%                             8%

    Conservative Dems              75%                             16%

    Pure Independents                23%                             32%

    Lib/Mod Reps                        19%                             76%

    Conservative Reps                4%                               94%

Gallup is still finding that McCain is hauling down more Democrats than Obama is among Republicans, among registered voters yet, by about 2%.

What is more, McCain leads among "Pure Independents", roughly 27% of the current apportionment among other Gallup polls, by a statistically significant 9%. If anything, he has picked up a percentage point among these, to maintain his lead, as Indies make up their minds as November 4 draws near.

Though there has been a slow, yet small, attrition of the Democrat numbers from McCain to Obama over the past few weeks, as well as the defection of Christopher Buckley and the possible defection of Kathleen Parker, one gets the idea from this data set that the race is close, and that McCain's long history as a maverick supporting Independent's and their "anger" with the political machines of both parties still may be good bet going into Election Day.

That is because these Gallup numbers seem to indicate that there is a significant percentage of Independents that remain undecided, some 3 weeks before the election, to the tune of around 40% or so (allowing for a final undecided/did not vote percentage on election day of 5% or so). It's only if all these independents break for Obama (a tall order given the McCain advantage), that one can theoretically entertain the possibility of a landslide result for the "Mondale-Light" that Obama is campaigning as (All the taste for Socialist dogma, but with less than half the experience....)

Thus it's no wonder that ACORN is busy rustling up illegal repeat homeless voters in a number of key states (Nevada, Ohio, New Mexico, Indiana, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Florida). Obama has to go back to the old Daley Bag of Tricks if he has a chance of justifying the $ 500 million clams that the Left and Foreign Interests have spent on "juicing up" this particular Barry.

But McCain cannot count on Indies following him up the Hamburger Hill that the Media has so successfully entrenched for Obama's Red Diaper Brigades, who are under the watchful command of Field Marshall Pelosi and Commissar Ayres. He is going to have to lead from the front in this last round of the battle (Much like George C. Scott, or Kelsey Grammer-- drat, I get those guys confused sometimes...), rather than letting the subordinates take on all the counter-battery. If it's true that McCain and the RNC are sitting on a last-minute ad and television buy of $ 160 million for the last weeks (Heck, even if it's half that...), then it will be Obama who might just get to experience the Steel Rain of Campaign Advertising. Stay tuned.

We Told You So Update:

None other than the AP and those Red Writers at the Minneapolis Star-Tribune seem to be confirming that a President Obama would come down on the "gun grabber" side of the fence, once elected.

It seems that the Brady Bunch has endorsed Senator Obama for President, approximately one week after the NRA had endorsed Senator John McCain for the Presidency.

But in writing about this little event, AP seems to confirm that it's favorite "Son of a Bolshie" voted to ban all forms of semiautomatic weapons and generally increase registration requirements on firearms ownership.

In other words, Senator Obama has voted in the past to enact a ban on large classes of firearms comparable to the current evasion of a Supreme Court decision by the Washington DC City Council. Just imagine what all those folks who use semiautomatic shotguns for waterfowl hunting would say to that kind precedent, given that Senator Obama has promised hunters that he was not going to go after their shotguns.

Oh well, at least a good number of us were not fooled....

And Now, For Something Completely Different...:

Hmmm, it seems that Senate Candidate Mark Warner has a problem with the NRA, some 23 days before the election. Spread the word.

Messenger Over Message Alert:

Notwithstanding Minister Farrakhan's Messianic comments to the contrary, it seems that Howard Stern may have discovered a disturbing trend among Harlem voters of late...

Respectfully,
